A sad news -- NYNY milonga becomes history

Some people might already know that the NYNY milonga in Taipei has come to an end since the restaurant is closed. Since year 2000, this has always been the best milonga in Taipei. Many of the farewell milongas of the Taipei Tango Festivals were also held here, and almost every single workshop as well: Lucía y Alvaro Salas, Fabián Salas y Carolina del Rivero, Julian Miller Ramil y Claudia Lissette, Esteban Moreno y Claudia Codega, Ezequiel Paludi y Sabrina Masso, Leandro Palou y Andrea Missé, Pablo Villarraza y Dana Frígoli, Damián Esell y Nancy Louzán, Julio Balmaceda y Corina de la Rosa... Even Gavito and Gloria y Eduardo have been here when performing in tango shows in Taipei. We much regret not having done much more at NYNY and for NYNY.

We would like to say thanks to the owner of the place for hosting us for so long. Thank you Arthur and Beauty. We will always remember the cheerful moments we had at NYNY Restaurant.

I will upload more photos taken at NYNY from 2004 to 2007. Thanks to all the people that have supported Taipei Tango Association and our milongas and events. We will keep looking for good places for milongas.
